He then began a teaching career while completing a further degree in business studies in Li\u00e8ge. Today he works in human resources at a large industrial company and lives with his wife and children in the German-speaking part of Belgium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">He has written three crime novels to date:<br \/>\n<em>Belgische Finsternis<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Tod im Hohen Venn<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Belgische Schatten<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">The somewhat idiosyncratic Inspector Piet Donker is transferred from Brussels to a small town in East Belgium.
