Realistisch en relevant.<\/p>\n<p>Film heeft de kracht om zichtbaar te maken wat gewoonlijk ongezien blijft, zo ook de onzichtbare werkkrachten van de maatschappij. Heike is een van hen. Al zo\u2019n 40 jaar lang werkt ze in de schoonmaaksector. In haar taak als manager, dagelijks bemiddelend tussen de bazen van het bedrijf, de klanten en het personeel, is de druk met zienderogen toegenomen. Wanneer donkere wolken dreigen, dient Heike haar handen vuil te maken op meer dan een manier. <em>I Understand Your Displeasure<\/em> is sociaal-realistische cinema met een hart voor urgente verhalen in de traditie van de Dardennes en Ken Loach, denk alleen al aan zijn gelijkaardig getitelde <em>Sorry We Missed You<\/em> (FFG2019). De Duitse regisseur-coscenarist Kilian Armando Friedrich houdt een empathisch pleidooi voor solidariteit dat in wereldpremi\u00e8re ging op de Panorama-sectie van de Berlinale.
