Just in time for German Week, the Antwerp Tourist Office (TOPA) is now offering audio walks in several languages, including German, under the title ‘Flemish Masters from the Shadows’. The aim is to familiarise tourists with Antwerp’s rich art history. The focus is on the painters Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck and Jacques Jordaens, whose lives and work are brought to life with the help of a lively audio guide.
The walking maps with instructions and QR codes can be found at various locations in the city, for example in the Cathedral of Our Lady or St James’ Church. An activity booklet is also available for children to involve them in the magical world of Rubens and Co. The map can also be downloaded online via the website and the audio fragments can be listened to again.
