On Wednesday, October 8, the German Department of the University of Namur will present the box-office success Honig im Kopf by Til Schweiger. The film tells, in a humorous yet moving way, the story of a grandfather suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and his granddaughter, while taking a gentle look at themes such as dementia, family, and memories.
The evening will open with an introduction by Prof. Dr. Jeroen Darquennes (University of Namur), who will offer a brief cultural reflection on the theme of aging.
The film will be shown in the original German version with English subtitles and will also mark the launch of the new “Cinéclub Germa”, which this year runs under the theme Life Lines.
For a cozy atmosphere, guests are welcome to bring along their own drinks and snacks.
This event is part of the “Woche für Deutsch” and is open to all. Admission is free. No registration required.
We look forward to seeing you there!
