Fairy tale fans, listen up! Experience a magical hour at the library of Chênée in Liège on Wednesday, 8 October 2025 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the ‘Woche für Deutsch – Week for German’ programme. To mark the 50th anniversary of the Deutsche Märchenstrasse (German Fairy Tale Route), the German Embassy in Brussels, together with the German national Tourist Board (DZT – Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus) and the City of Liège, is inviting all fairy tale fans aged 4 and above, together with their parents, to discover the wonderful and mysterious places along the German Fairy Tale Route from Hanau to Bremen.
An hour of fairy tales in the library: we will listen to some of the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales and do fairy tale crafts with the children. Parents will receive lots of information about the German Fairy Tale Route (Deutsche Märchenstrasse). The library will display its treasure trove of fairy tale books, which are just waiting to be borrowed and read.
Participation is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. Registration is possible via chenee.lecture@liege.be
The event will be held in French.
