Discover Liège in German!

The Centre for German Studies at the University of Liège invites you on 7 October to a city rally, where pupils will explore the city in small groups using their German skills. The event will kick off with a “speed dating” activity, giving participants the chance to get to know each other. For the grand finale, a Kahoot quiz will allow the pupils to show what they have discovered and learned during the rally!

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
Teachers are kindly asked to register their class by e-mail by 23 September.

On Tuesday, October 7, the HHH Oktoberfest will take place. This event is organized as part of the German Language Week and celebrates the official inclusion of our school in the PASCH network, which we joined last school year.

During the lunch break, everyone is warmly invited to participate in various games. There will also be food stands offering German snacks, managed by the students. The proceeds will go towards the 12th grade’s trip to Berlin.
At that time, the Heilig-Hart Institute will officially be inaugurated as a PASCH school, and there will be a performance by spoken word artist Jessy James LaFleur in the main hall.
In the afternoon, she will also hold a workshop for the students.

It’s sure to be a great celebration, and we hope to see you all there!
See you then!

A little boy dreams of soaring through the skies as a pilot. He joins a gliding club where he spends his free time, while all around him in Europe, a war rages whose full scale he can hardly grasp. As a child, director Christoph Bohn discovers a photo of his father in uniform inside a cardboard box. As an adult, he sets out to uncover the dark story behind that image; he crafts an original film that weaves together archival footage, animation, and eyewitness testimony to create an extraordinary documentary. Presented in German.
