Exchange on the situation of German studies and German language teaching in the Benelux countries

Monday - Sunday
12. - 18.
18:00 - 20:00

Following last year’s successful inaugural meeting, the DAAD is continuing its exchange with DAAD lecturers and locally recruited lecturers (Ortslektorinnen und Ortslektoren) in the Benelux countries. The meeting once again offers a platform for sharing insights from a wide range of practical experience, discussing current developments and future opportunities in the field of German studies and German as a Foreign Language (DaF), and further strengthening exchange within the network.

In addition, Arpe Caspary, who is responsible for the local lecturer programme at the DAAD, will report on recent developments and funding opportunities within the programme. Participants will also be informed about the digital teaching and learning programme Dhoch3, designed to train future teachers of German as a Foreign Language.

Through this meeting, the DAAD aims to foster ongoing exchange with its DAAD and local lecturers, deepen existing connections and jointly generate new impetus for the future of the German language and German studies in the region.
