Exchange between Belgian and Luxembourgish students about the role of the German language in their lives

Friday
16.
09:00 - 15:00

In Belgium, Luxembourg is generally perceived as a French-speaking country. Although the two countries are neighbours, we still know relatively little about each other.

That is why the Embassy of Luxembourg organised this event to give young people from Luxembourg and southern Belgium an opportunity to meet, share their experiences with the German language and get to know one another better.

Who knows? Perhaps they will become the cross-border workers of tomorrow!

Programme:

Morning: Discussions about the German language, the cultures and traditions of both countries, and the young participants’ future, followed by the creation of a social media post.

Afternoon: A German-language guided tour of Arlon, exploring Luxembourg’s traces throughout the city.

Contact person: Hélène Spitaels, Kulturattaché, bruxelles.mgdl@mae.etat.lu
