For the sixth time, the Belgian Association of Germanists and Teachers of German (BGDV) is organising an online German quiz in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and the German Embassy.
Two or more German classes from secondary schools all across Belgium compete against each other. The quiz is part of the nationwide “Week of German” and takes place from Monday to Friday during regular lesson times. And of course your class should be part of it!
The online quiz covers German in the broadest sense. It runs on Kahoot and takes about 20 minutes. There are 20 multiple-choice questions on vocabulary, grammar, common idioms, life and culture in the German-speaking countries, everyday language and more, at levels A1, A2, B1 and native speaker, so for beginners and advanced learners alike. And above all, it should be fun!
Will your German class come out on top? Sign them up! You will find the registration form below. It gives us the key information we need to place your class at the right level (A1, A2, B1, native speaker) and to work out when they will play (between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.) and which classes will face each other.
After the Week of German, the two strongest classes from each level will be invited to Brussels in early 2027, on a Wednesday afternoon, to play the grand final “live” at the German Embassy.
There are great prizes to be won! Every year it is exciting to see the students and their teachers give it their all and sweep the audience along with their enthusiasm.
So don’t hesitate — register your German classes soon! Please note that a separate registration form must be filled in for each class wishing to take part. It will be a great experience for your students!
Registration deadline: 2 October 2026 at 11:59 p.m.!
Have fun!
